Creation Story
Red Rising Magazine is a grassroots organization in Winnipeg , Manitoba, Canada. The idea to create an Indigenous magazine to showcase the brilliance in our communities came about in 2015 after discussions about the media's negative portrayal of Indigenous people.
Our Vision

The goal of Red Rising Magazine is to be a platform for Indigenous youth, artists, writers, poets, academics and Elders to share their stories and experiences.
